Weekly Photo Challenge: Love

I cannot think of anything more loving than this shared moment of intimacy I happened to capture between mother and child at Pashiputinath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal.  As the smoke from a funeral pyre rises to the heavens in the background, the circle of life repeats itself in the foreground of this photo.  If God is love, then –surely– this is His message.  Life continues –unceasingly– until its ultimate merger with the divine.

Editor’s Note:  Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest sites dedicated to Lord Shiva in the World.  It dates to 400 a.d. and attracts thousands of pilgrims from across the globe annually.
